Guest Advisor — Spavia Day Spa, Minnetonka

Position type: Part-time, ~31.5 hours/week Reports to: Spa Management

About the role

Our Guest Advisors are the first and last impression of the Spavia experience. You’re the warm voice on the phone, the friendly face at the front desk, and the person who turns a first-time visitor into a loyal member. This is a sales-forward, hospitality-first role: you’ll guide guests toward the services and memberships that fit them, and you’ll do it through genuine connection — never pressure.
We practice unreasonable hospitality — going further than anyone expects to make a guest feel cared for. If you light up when you make someone’s day better, you’ll thrive here.

Schedule

This is a fixed weekly schedule (no rotation). The open shifts are:

Day Shift
Tuesday 1:30pm – 8:30pm (closing)
Thursday 10:00am – 6:00pm
Friday 12:30pm – 8:30pm (closing)
Saturday 10:00am – 6:30pm

Saturdays are required and non-negotiable — it’s one of our busiest days of the week. There’s some flexibility with weekday shifts, but availability on Saturday is essential for consideration.
You’ll work closely with our team throughout the day, and there will be times when you run the front desk independently — so we’re looking for someone confident and self-sufficient who can keep things running smoothly.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver a warm, professional, and engaging guest experience in person and on the phone
  • Promote and sell memberships — educating guests on the benefits and helping them choose the right fit
  • Recommend services, enhancements, and retail products with genuine confidence
  • Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently, and keep guest profiles and notes up to date
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Keep a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment
  • Collaborate with therapists and teammates to keep the day running smoothly

What we’re looking for

Sales drive, balanced with heart. You’re comfortable asking for the sale and hitting membership goals — and you do it by connecting with people, not pushing them.
A hard worker who shows up. Dependable, on-time, ready for your shift. You follow proper call-in procedures and don’t leave your team short. You’re willing to work peak shifts — evenings, weekends, holidays.
A true team player. Respectful with guests, peers, and leadership. You collaborate, you avoid gossip, you take coaching well, and you own your results. You’re flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
A natural connector. You’re not afraid to strike up a conversation, learn what a guest needs, and build the kind of rapport that makes people come back.
Service excellence. You leave a strong first and last impression, you earn positive feedback and reviews, and you stay accurate with the details.

A note on the interview

Because membership sales are central to this role, part of the interview will be a short mock membership pitch — you’ll pitch us on becoming a member. Don’t overthink it; we want to see how you connect, how you talk about value, and how naturally you guide someone to “yes.” We’ll give you what you need to prepare beforehand.
Spavia Minnetonka is an equal opportunity employer.
